Fashion Group International Show

On September 16th I had a lot of fun meeting some of Jacksonville’s great women in the fashion industry. I photographed the Fashion Show for Fashion Group International held at the Epping Forrest Yacht Club in Jacksonville FL.

Fashion Group International’s (FGI) mission is to be the preeminent authority on the business of fashion and design and to help its members become more effective in their careers. To do this, FGI provides insights on major trends in person, online and in print; access to business professionals and a gateway to the influence fashion plays in the marketplace.

Matthew, Alicia and Griffin

Another Successful Holiday Mini Session : )

I hand picked out this song for their slideshow because as a mother I feel this way towards my own family and by watching Matthew and Alicia with each other and then with their son, I would say they too feel this way about one another.

Last year I photographed Matthew, Alicia and Griffin for the first time, and just this past Sunday I reconnected with this great family again! My favorite assistants, Miranda and Jaden (aka my awesome kids) came to this shoot this time for we spoiled ourselves with frosty’s while hangin’ out Riverside Memorial Park when the shoot was done. Okay I must quickly say this, if you haven’t taken your kids to Riverside Memorial Park on a Sunday early evening, you must do so. It was so wonderful spending quality time together while feeling the river breeze blowing in our faces. Watching all the locals taking time out of life to be together made us feel like we were living in a family book because we saw everything from a couple walking their baby in the stroller while the mom blowing bubbles, an older man fishing by the river, a young newly in love couple intertwined in each other’s embrace, a sweaty runner as he makes his marathon rounds completing his exercise routine, a sweet old couple snuggling up together on a bench watching the others, a circular pack of teenagers playing volleyball netless, a hip, suave and cool Italian man strutting his way with his ipod and shades on, a college boy playing his acoustic guitar for walkers to admire and appreciate, a lady walking her dog, and kids just running everywhere playing… truly it was a sight to see! Riverside definitely has a mix of people and they are not afraid to mesh together on a happy and relaxed Sunday late afternoon.

This session was very special to me, not only because I was able to capture The Lyczkowski Family again, but I felt as though all of us connected more…. hmm maybe it had to do with us bonding over our sweat as we walked in the scorching sun looking for more fun spots to nestle in or perhaps it was also because I had my children by my side while doing my job that made this session a real treat.

It was a shoot that certainly brought me much happiness.

2009 Jacksonville Ultimate Fantasy Bridal Show

September 6, 2009 – 10:09 am

Sunday, August 30th was another successful Ultimate Bridal Fantasy Show held at the beautiful World Golf Village Renaissance Resort.

Twice a year on every January and August Greater Jacksonville Weddings with My Bridal Connection, My Bridal Magazine, and Find It For Brides, holds a spectacular Bridal Show where engaged couples come and meet the top leading Jacksonville & St. Augustine Wedding Vendors in the industry. Everything from door prizes, honeymoon give-aways, food tastings, entertainment and of course the fashion shows are just some of the highlights of the day. Be on the look out for January 17, 2010 Bridal Show, each year they grow and more exciting things are in store for brides and grooms so mark your calendar’s for next years show!
